I can kind of get that as used to be similar when Tiger was at the top. Took me a while to realise that it wasn't his fault the media storm that followed him. For me though Rory is one of ours. He's Ryder Cup. I'll also repeat he seems a downright decent guy and just can't get on board with the whinging, arrogant, petulant unpleasant character some seem to think he is. Plus he wanted, NEEDED, this win so much and my heart will always go out to an athlete in that position.
What an epic performance from Rory yesterday. I'm SO happy for him. He has deserved to win it this week and.has shown incredible mental strength to bounce back from the last few holes of his 1st round and the back 9 last night.
Also chuffed to bits for his caddy, like JP Fitzgerald before, he has taken some unfair criticism from golf experts who cant even shoot 36 points on a regular basis.

That's another thing, people hated tiger.. so many that are posting such positives about Rory now.. flag waving again, because he is "one of us"

It was talked about a couple years ago - there was a lot of talk of him getting the career slam before Rory but with his form dropping off it’s not really talked about anymore
