The grand slam is winning all 4 in a single year. The career grand slam is winning all 4 throughout your career.

As no one has actually won all 4 majors in a calendar year, closest was the Tiger Slam, not sure why it has a name.

On McIlroy's achievement just consider the greats on the ledger of who didn't...it's a bejeweled list, but a few Americans - Snead, Nelson, Palmer, Trevino, Watson; the Europeans...Faldo, Ballasteros, Woosnam, Harrington, Langer; and from RoW - Thompson, Price, Norman

And Rory now sits above them all in the most exalted company.

When it came out his former coach had been doping his charges, there was a fair bit of suspicion on Farah as he was so good. Whether a white runner would have had the same suspicion we will never know.

But as a person he is super lovely
