He does try hard to be funny.
He doesn't hit a big ball and his short game isn't great from what I've seen.
Sounds like you're describing my round at Moor Allerton Gary

Is it true that Rick keeps him locked up in his garden shed inbetween Videos?
Mostly Dave, it just isn't locked as he can't reach the handle.
Wow. He's an average golfer, like the majority on here and his take on things is more applicable to most than a pro striping every shot. Don't like him, don't watch? Starting a thread to dig the guy out is quite quite sad.

Most comments are about his personality and how he comes across, don't know guest100718's handicap, but the only other person who mentions his ability is garyinderry off 8 and he's making an observation, so unles Paddy's a Mid HC no Mid HC has slated his Golf and HC is irrelevant when it comes to personality.I think it's a very good idea getting a mid HC guy to review clubs - it's more relevant to the club golfer
And agree about slating the guy - a touch of irony perhaps - mid HC people slating other Mid HC golfers
He's been injured for a good chunk of this season, and has a history of injuries.Have you watched any of his reviews with Rick shiels? I get the impression he doesnt like TM..... You'd think he'd be off better than 13 by now too seeing as Shiels is a top 25 coach and all that.

All review videos are mostly irrelevant whether it be a 28 handiapper or one off scratch. All clubs are almost identical nowadays and they will go virtually the same distance if you hit them out the middle as long as the loft angle and shaft length are the same. And realistically if a reviewer likes a club it means diddly squat really, as there is no correlation at all if you will like it and it will work for you.
So the videos are mostly entertainment as opposed to helping you make a sensible choice. Whether it be Rick tugging a 7 iron 190 yards to the left or Rob mi******** one 130. If they entertain you then watch them, if they don't then don't bother making the deliberate choice by clicking on that video on YouTube.
Reviews always seem like him ranting about what the club looks like.
adds so little value when he is going on a tangent about a driving being white, he then becomes biased in the review.
generally enjoy Rick's videos but not with Rob.

Exactly Gary, that's why I said your post was simply an observation.😃I was answering this. I've watched enough of his videos to know he doesn't hit it very far and seen him on course vlogs to know why he plays off 13 and not lower.
I think that's a fair enough comment. I also don't think its too harsh to say his brand of humour isn't for everyone.
Agreed that its fun to see a normal golfer test clubs rather than ricks smash it over the back fence approach.
