I have done most of it in different stages, it is quite fabulous, especially in the spring.
They missed out The Pie Shop at Lochinver on the planner [slight detour] not to be missed.

Once did a drive from Rome to Monte Cassino, across to Anzio and back up to Rome. It was quite an emotional drive especially around Monte Casino.

Actually, we called in at Monte Cassino on the way down, as my grandad was there in 1944 or 1945 in the army.:thup:

Missis Ts, grandads brother was killed in northern Italy towards the end of the war, whereabouts unknown. His name is on one of the large plinths in one of the war graves. Private Frank Whilde Sherwood foresters. Bless him

Drove from Skopje via Kosovo to Tirana in a convoy of 2 Landrovers and a 14 Tonne, beautiful scenery but scary roads through the Albanian mountains, sheer drops, single lanes etc and some of the towns and villages were appallingly poverty stricken, never seen poverty like it anywhere in the world, then came the gangs in the blinged up 4 x 4's driving around with the passengers hanging out the windows carrying also sorts of weapons, weird 18hr drive,

That's my second favourite drive Tashy, but we started above Taormina at castellamola. Our favourite is Sorrento to Amalfi. I'd also commend Mojacar to San Juan de Terreros, or Mojacar Pueblo to Sorbas.

Because it was a fantastic, smooth twisty bit of Tarmac for a motorbike from Vera going north. Enjoyed it so much I u-turned and did it twice more.

I drove non stop to the south of France once - including going through the centre of Paris around 7am because I thought it would be cool - with all the luggage so the rest of the family could go train/plane without having to worry about suitcases and we'd have a car while we we're there.

Not my finest hour.

Drove from Newcastle to faro in portugual, stopping off and surfing in the best spots in France and Spain, Bordeaux, hossegoor, biarritz, Bilbao and many others. We took far too long however and ended up having to drive straight back from Portugal to calais.

We planned the route and agreed to do a stint driving and a stint navigating between the three of us, my turn to navigate was the last leg, where we'd agreed to go 2 hours around the outside of paris. My navigating was so bad we ended up seeing the arc de triumphe albeit from afar, but certainly not even an hour afar... Not my finest hour, but certainly a beautiful sight.

I also punctured a tyre on the van in a sleepy village outside of Santander the night they were having a day of the dead festival... Incredible stroke of luck to witness the festival

Old Glory Trail.

Philadelphia-Gettysburg-Washington-Richmond-Jamestown-Virginia Beach-Annapolis-Baltimore-Philadelphia

The US may not have the recorded history Europe has but still fascinating. Along the way we saw the first settlement dating back to 16th century and one of the space capsules from the 20th with everything in between.

On top of that the drive itself was terrific.

I drove from Malvern to Stuttgart a few times. Nothing special but very tiring.

A local man bought an Enfield 500cc motorbike in India and rode it back to the UK.

A young guy that worked for me flew to Barcelona, bought a bike there for 100 Euros and rode it back home in a week.

We were in sorrento earlier this year.

Took the bus to amalfi, walked back along the coast. It's fantastic. Dare I say better than driving?

Had to catch a bus back to sorrento at the end. Even in April it was mental. Must be hideous in the summer. The whole area is just spectacular. I would suggest that actually being the driver of a car in this neck of the woods is the very worst option tho...

Not a long way compared to some of you but drove from Miami to Key West once. Some of the bridges seem to go on for miles.

Iv done the NC500 a few times, the north west is by far the best half of it. Kylesku bridge, over the pass at apple cross and through Glencoe are awesome. Heading up there again next weekend actually.
Have a look at the website petrolhead nirvana for some classic drives. I'd love to do the alpine pass one.
