Club Championship first round today - second tomorrow following a cut. Apparently some think I am a player 'in form' and so in with a chance (for the Nett trophy rather than the Club Champion itself I should add). Ridiculous and amusing

Actually - I think this is being propagated by one of our assistant pros who is rumoured to have a twinkle in his eye for my daughter...now that isn't ridiculous - but it is amusing.

Sat having a beer with a golfing buddy when he tells me another of our mates had got the shock of his life when going round to a friend's house to offer his wife condolences for the loss of her husband. The husband opens the door.

An honest mistake... but a bit strange as the guy knocking on the door was also their GP.
