I know i've already banged on about this kid but he could be the best thing to happen to golf in a long time. Ever since the Tiger Woods fiasco i think kids and adults alike are looking for a new role model and Rickie seems to fit the slot. Fresh style, fresh swing and holds himself well on the course. Definate Major winner in my eyes!!!

Yea, top lad. Hope he goes far.

I can see a Nicklaus/Palmer type rivalry between him and Rors in the years to come.

(Obviously not on the same scale, but it's the first that came to mind)

I think he will certainly be great for the US Tour but I hope he travels around and lets the world see his talent. It would be great to see him over here a bit and perhaps in China, South Africa and Australia. He could be a world superstar and if he and Rory fulfill their potential there will a major world number 1 battle for many years to come

One would hope that his Japanese heritage encourages him to travel at least a bit...

...but the stupid world ranking system and financial weighting towards the PGA means that it's really hard to get any of them out of the land of the (brain)free.

Needs to stop dressing like a tit though.

McIlroy, Ishikawa, Fowler, Mannesero...

It's a good time to be a golf fan and it's not going to fall away any time soon.

Needs a bloody haircut though!

I thought he was going to be another flash US kid, but i warmed to him. The last four holes against Eddie he just got on with the golf, and played beautifully under pressure.

Can obviously take the heat under pressure. Should stand him in good stead if he's ever in contention for a major.

He's had a good year with a stack of top 10's. First win should be round the corner

He also took time out to sign a young nippers cast on his arm just before the closing ceremony whilst sitting in a buggy. It appeared that Tiger refused to sign, which disappointingly doesn't surprise me. :(

Didn't like him dressed as Tango man during the season but though he was a great fighter to birdie the last two holes yesterday to snatch a half and was actually pretty humble about it too. Refreshing and I'm liking him a lot more

Another one who needs a hair cut!

"Any barbers where you come from boy?"

He looks a right t*t in his orange outfits and he also needs a haircut the bloody hippy, other than that he is ok. Kinda prefer Bubba tbh

Bet he doesn't look a tit when he cashes his $2m cheque off puma for wearing all that gear. ;)

Agree he needs a hair cut though.

First time I've seen Fowler play and really impressed at the way he fought back to square the match. A definite Major contender in the future.

Oh, and about his dress sense, I've heard he's Rickg's nephew. :D :D

Golfmmad.

Look at the Sky coverage again and you will see Tiger did sign the lads cast, I had to rewind to see it properly but he did sign it.

Don't count your chickens, he's probably sleeping with 30 women, maybe more :)

Another one with an unhealthy obsession with picking faults with Tiger Woods.

As post above, the cameras showed the lad right next to TW getting his cast signed.
