Renewing my subscription

I got my renew letter yesterday, I cannot remember it exactly but was something along the lines of "You will still receive the lowest subscriber price available £22.80 per 6 months. I do not think so 20p more gets me the subscription and 1 doz Z-stars. I've cancelled and will renew with the ball offer. Why didn't they just offer me the balls with my renewal?

I'm sure this has been asked before and it's due to if they were to give balls everytime u needed to renew then it would cost loads giving everyone free balls.
