Recommend me an electric trolley

Motocaddy lithium user here. Was seriously considering the Hillbilly as they are very good prices. Having used an older Motocaddy previously that swayed me.

GoKart are great if you like the cheap plastic look that bits snap off of.
What bits have snapped off?
Had mine 5 years now and nothing fallen off yet.
Dewsweeper

I have got a Powakaddy model fw7, its very light and it is strong with some gadgets if you like that sort of thing. It has helped especially on my local coastal course links which is a little bit hilly! My old legs need all the help they can get and these do the job for you.

Mine is like this one here: https://www.golfclothingdirect.co.uk/item/powakaddy-golf-2015-fw7-ebs-electric-trolleys/

I used to get around with just a Golf bag all day but now those days are gone.

Anyone else getting on a bit should take a look at them in my opinion, easier getting you to the 19th hole as well when you have walked for hours on a wet and windy day.

The old knees are much better for it now so I speak from experience too!

As I know everyone loves a happy ending, especially at this time of year, you'll all be no doubt pleased to hear I've ordered a S1 with a 18 hole lithium battery. Yes I know it's yet another example of me trying to buy a game. As what I really should be doing is training 2 hours a day running up hill and down dale, so I am fit enough to carry my clubs on my back. Like they did in the good old days of Old Tom Morris when men were men and hybrids were just a gleam in crap golfers eyes everywhere.

But I'm too old, unfit and frankly can't be arsed with that much effort. So I'm buying a trolley to do the work. Please don't judge me.

But I did order it from the pro I am having lessons with so he gets any commission if that helps?

Sorry Nick, but you have just entered the downward spiral. I thought you had a few more years in you.

Nothing snapped off mine and it's been all round the country in the boot of the car, been driven into tee markers and fallen over. Nothing ever came off

I've had my GoKart almost since they were launched (when the only colour you could get was green). The only thing I've had snap is that bungee strap that holds the bag in place at the bottom. Other than that it's been rock solid. People confuse plastic with cheap and nasty. Not with modern composites. And it doesn't rust :D

My wife and daughter both had/have GoKarts, and the only things to snap were the bungee and score card holder flap. On both times replacement bits were sent out free of charge. You don't get that service from Motocaddy.

Maybe they don't need to because the bits don't break

Is that just like their "we are a British company and make in Britain" line they told me when I bought my S1 when they first appeared, which subsequently needed a new axle, motor and 2 batteries in the space of 2 years? No thanks, you can keep them. I like someone who actually produces in this country when they say they do, providing jobs and a service to people in this country.

Blimey it's just a trolley

Had my 5 years now and had one cable replaced after 3 years and was done for free

Every I play with they use Motocaddy and no one has issues , the Pro uses them and has no issues

But as with any item that relies on motors and electrics etc there will always some issue with a small amount of trolleys and that's also valid for go kart.

Very true, but at least GoKart and Golfstream are actually made in this country, rather than just claiming they do.

Front wheel baring went twice within six months, battery bracket snapped, battery a pain to fit and its heavy. Straps both been replaced. Cheap thermoplastic frame is easily marked and chips. Scorecard holder is poor.

That was my sons trolley I bought him for Christmas two years ago. He thinks I don't like him. Buy cheap buy twice.

I wouldn't know where motocaddy is built

For me it doesn't make a difference - it's all about the quality of the product that makes the difference

Have both a motocaddy and go kart and only issues I've had have been with motocaddy who's after sales service was poor and is a theme familiar to my pro and several others locally who have had issues on behalf of members. In my opinion Go Kart is robust and functional without winning any prizes for looks but their after sales service is one of the best in the golf industry

Blimey, wished I hadn't asked now.

Went for the S1 as as tempted as I was, personally I didn't like the look of the Go kart as much. And Motocaddy were doing a 50 cash back rebate if you got a lithium battery which made the prices for both there or there abouts. I spoke to the pro who gives me lessons and they use S1s and he said he's never had any problems with them at all.

Fully appreciate that the service on Go Karts is great and my decision may come back to bite me on my big fat arse some day. But hey ho, as already said, it's only a trolley and if my golf game ever gets to a standard where my trolley is my biggest issue I'll be very happy.;)

I think powered trolleys are a lot of hassle for little benefit over a high quality push trolley like a Clicgear. It really is very little effort to pus one of these around the course.

I agree,it really takes no effort to push my motocaddy s1 lite.
