Recommend me an electric trolley

If you can throw in a decent swing I'd be very interested ;)

Probably a bit out my price range for a second hand one but which model is it?

It's the X7 in Pearlescent White. Cost £1000 new and I'm throwing in £200 worth of accessories. I've replaced all of the white bits, so new handle, base unit and legs. Looks like new.

Any thoughts on it yet Karen?

Looking to buy something in March / April. M1 top of the list at the moment so anyone elsed feedback appreciated too!

I've got the M1 mate, upgraded from S3, way better, especially how small it folds and with the battery in place, had it 6 months and absolutely no issues, the usb and integrated holder very useful, hard to fault up to now.
Fiddly bit was first 2-3 times, sounds daft but if you follow the numbered parts from the off it's a cake walk.

I've had a GoKart since 2009 and I can't complain. I'd recommend one to anybody.
Does exactly what it says on the tin, folds up nice and small so it's easy to transport.
18 hole battery has been known to last for 36 on more than one occasion with selective use of the "throttle".
I won't mention the brilliant back up service as that normally results in negative responses.

Any Hill Billy owners out there? I like the look and price of them, but then again I see Motocaddy are doing 50 quid cash back on lithium models.

I game a Hillybilly during the summer and carry during the winter as can't be bothered to mess around much when it's cold. It's worked fine for three years and was nice and cheap. Doesn't have one of those fancy pants lithium batteries though so need to have a backup for 36 holes.

Yes I know there's been a few of these threads but when has that ever stopped anyone before. Have done 20 years with the company this year and they are due to get me a gift of up to 170 notes. Have always fancied an electric trolley but could not really justify the cost. But as I'm not getting younger and 170 notes will ease the pain, so any recommendations out there?

I'm not after anything fancy, just something reliable that will cart my clubs around the course. No need for usb sockets or any of that gubbins. Will probably go lithium as long as the price difference is not too extreme but don't want to go north of 500 notes in total, preferably less.

I do seem to remember a British firm getting good recommendations in the past on here but can't remember which one.

Come on Nick, you're starting to think old. Man up and get a good quality 3-wheel push trolley. There's not a great deal of additional physical effort involved and there's no faffing about with charging batteries and batteries letting you down.

I have got a very old push trolley that is coming towards the end of its life as bits are snapping off it. So my warped logic is that once I spend money on replacing that, then with the extra 170 notes I have form my company I may as well get an electric one.

And as long as I do not think too deeply about how flawed that argument actually is as I could get a very good push trolley plus possibly a decent wedge for nothing from the company, it makes perfect sense. :D

One that has been recommended to me is offmetrolley. Gets great reviews on Amazon and from seeing my PP's one it looks good quality. They sell themselves as high quality trolleys at discount prices. £180 for a trolley with a 36 hole battery. Sounds good to me and I think it's how I am going to go.

Motocaddy lithium user here. Was seriously considering the Hillbilly as they are very good prices. Having used an older Motocaddy previously that swayed me.

GoKart are great if you like the cheap plastic look that bits snap off of.

Having only ever hired electric trolleys and usually Motocaddy S1's I hit ebay a couple of weeks ago and picked up for 200 notes a Motocaddy S3Pro, 36 and an 18 battery (Acid) and full accessories kit. So far really quite chuffed with it.

If you are looking far a well built basic trolley that does what it says on the tin, you really can't go wrong with the Motocaddy S1.

Whack that bad boy up to number 9 and hang on to your hat, happy days

I must admit then when I first used it I pressed the start button and somehow managed to turn the speed right up - it was like a race car going off!
luckily it was up a pretty steep hill so I caught up with it quite easily

As I know everyone loves a happy ending, especially at this time of year, you'll all be no doubt pleased to hear I've ordered a S1 with a 18 hole lithium battery. Yes I know it's yet another example of me trying to buy a game. As what I really should be doing is training 2 hours a day running up hill and down dale, so I am fit enough to carry my clubs on my back. Like they did in the good old days of Old Tom Morris when men were men and hybrids were just a gleam in crap golfers eyes everywhere.

But I'm too old, unfit and frankly can't be arsed with that much effort. So I'm buying a trolley to do the work. Please don't judge me.

But I did order it from the pro I am having lessons with so he gets any commission if that helps?

All you need now is one of these bad boys to stand on and you'll only have to step off to hit shots :D

Trying to retrofit one to my trolley

Another happy GoCart user here. Basic but does everything I need it to.

The support is probably the best I've seen from any company. When I have had to call them, they've just been brilliant. I needed a new battery this year and was going to get the Lithium, had the 36 hole before, but as I only play 18, sometimes 27, the lady said just go with the 18 holer. Way cheaper and will do everything I need.

Permission to sleep easy granted :D:thup:
