Having garden astro turfed and I'm obsessed with launch monitors when I have my lessons (really appeals to the nerd in me, spin rate, carry distance etc). Was hoping to buy one for use in my garden, one that shows ball flight (on laptop which I have of course), left/right dispersion and is accurate for all the other key stats (carry, spin, AoA etc).

I'd say my max budget would be £1,000 but preferably less, and I'd be hitting the balls from a matt into a net.

Any advice much appreciated!

Check this (pretty new) device out! https://flightscopemevo.com/

I believe Flightscope were the first to use Radar technology for Golf Ball tracking, but Trackman's user interface (and marketing) overtook them. Flightscope is also the technology behind Tennis Line reviews and Serve speeds - and (I believe) Hawkeye Cricket reviews.

So the company and technology is sound. Whether the device is appropriate or works as/has the facilities desired, is down to you!

doesnt show ball flight though that's the only problem. Also Doppler isn't great for into a net.

the best value for money is skytrak, but that's still double your budget. I got a bargain for mine 2nd hand
