Audition process consists of 3 rounds of golf over 3 days and then a meal, this is to distinguish handicaps and personalities. Doesn't matter if you are a 28 or 4 handicapper, male or female if you are interesting enough you're likely to be selected.

The 16 most desirable, interesting, unusual, ecentric golfers will be selected to stay in the club house in a big brother-esque style show. The house backs on to a range with a chipping and putting competition so all golfer/contestants can practise when they wish.

Every 3 days an 18 hole competition will take place and every third comp will be a pairs match (partners will be picked by the club captain or "big brother") the losing golfer or golfers (in the doubles match) will be evicted.

When only two house mates are left nearing the end of the show they have to one by one pick a team mate from previously evicted house mates to make a team for the final which is played in a ryder cup format. which ever captains team wins become BB Golf Champion 2008.

Lads this is just me being bored so I hope i've not waisted your time but IF something like this was roled out...... would you apply? I have posted this before but it was a couple of months ago and what with the influx of newbies i'd be interested in opinions?

Minty, you arre clearly missing 'The Big Break' from the Golf Channel.

As for your reality golf show I would not be tuning-in, there is enough golf on tv without gormless wannabees trying to get on the celebrity f-list by 'starring' in a amateur chipping and putting contest.

Birdieman, i havent seen the big break or heard of it before? last i knew big break starred john virgo and a few dodgy jokes from the ginger one.

Forget "Celebrity" it wasn't really aimed at making people famous as I dont think they are the people that would tune in.

I personally would apply and i'm pretty sure it would be a pretty worthwhile experience.

I may be interested at first but once you get up to "Big Bunker Brother" series 8 it'll just be annoying like with the real thing!

One question for you though: will us amateurs be able to cope with a camera on us whilst we play, and with the "Get in the hole" mob shouting from the crowds?

Could lead to some really shaky play!

I crumble if i have more than one group behind me on the tee so god knows what i'd be like with the cameras and crowds..... this is why it would be such a great experience as us high handicappers would never get to do this sort of thing.

Would you be showing the auditions, like Pop Idol, because i find that these are usually the best part of the show.

A good few years ago (before video lessons), the Captain set up a camera on the 1st tee and then during the evening the video was put on a big screen. I've never see so many grown men cry, when they watched their swing for the first time.
