Great game with two teams playing some good stuff, both trying to go forward and score goals.

Half time 2-1 to Madrid meaning its all level on aggregate but I fancy Bayern to sneak through. Theyve been slightly more adventurous and created some good chances, definitely more goals to come I would say.

Only down side is the commentators wanting to talk about last nights game more than the one we are actually watching

I love Chelsea but all this reverting back to last night is doing my head in. This is a very good game of football and who we play can be talked about once it has been decided at the end of 90mins. I hate ITV commentary. Bring back Rat boy and Sky.

Who is Madrid's new number 8

Maybe if Madrid players learnt to stay on their feet they might have won the game. Glad Munich won it.

Turned it off soon as it went to pens as it was a forgone conclusion who would win that. Shame really as I feel Chelsea's best chance would have been against Madrid with the final being in Munich. Hate to say it but I strongly fancy Bayern now.

Didn't they see that bayern will have 6 players missing also for the final.

Dont always back the home team in the final - remember Roma 1984, sorry I was there, had to mention it.

Don't know abou the missing 6 players so can't comment on that. Germans and Italians are 2 totally different animals and LFC back then were a better team than this Chelsea one. Can't blame you for mentioning it either did you make it home safely as from the bit I remeber there was as much action outside the stadium as there was in it!!!

Yes just about, I was only 13 at the time, but it was the first few hundred who left the ground who got it bad. When the rest of the reds left, the police decided to then get involved. It was scary that night though, coaches getting bricked, not the best of escorts to the coaches, having to lie on the floor of the coach due to incoming missiles. Luckily we stayed in Anzio (near Rome) not the first time it's been used as a beachhead before, for invading armies!!!

Your a tat older than me I was only 5 at the time. Seen it on archive footage though that's how I know it was bad my memory isn't that good!! Anyway glad you made it safe and sound, not the most gracious of losers at Football the Italians are they? Lovely people and country though apart from that been many times on Hols there and loved it.

I agree lovely people, lovely country, tonnes of culture. Ive been to Venice, Florence, Rome (3 times) Milan and Turin which are lovely cities.

However, when Ive been to Rome (twice), Genoa and Turin for the football, the welcome was decidedly different though. Milan was ok though. Roma should be banned for 10 years, they must have stabbed more than 30 English in the last few visits, taking man U, Liverpool and Middlesborough into account.

Anyway, onto to happier times - Bayern or Chelsea to win.

Pros (for Chelsea) Bayern may have 6 missing.

Cons: home advantage, germans and penalties, Chelsea may have 4-5 missing, Chelsea's fixture schedule, Robben and Ribery can match Drogba (together) for diving.

Yes their welcome party for the football is in a league of it's own perhaps apart from Turkey. Hope Chelsea win I really do but Bayern is gonna be a very tough ask I feel

Anyone else think the yellow card suspensions for the final should be done away with ? ok if you get red in the semi or maybe even if you get a yellow in each leg of the semi , but to say pick up a yellow in the quarters then another in the second leg of the semi is tough to take .. I think it robs the european showpiece of some of its best players .. thoughts ?
