So the time has come that the trusty bag has lost its ability to repel water. when new the material almost had a rubberised like finished and in the heaviest of storms would remain dry. unfortunately this is now not the case, and under normal terms i would just replace the bag, but its still like new (other than not being waterproof) and im struggling to find a replacement that i actually like.

So, whats on the market that can be applied to my bag to take it back to its original glory.

May sound odd but I use a Scotch Guard water repellent spray on mine. It was for HID's hideously expensive shoes but as she never wears the damn things (they might get damaged you know) I have taken to use it on my bag and even on my old jacket that had lost it's water repellent coating. Works like a charm.

What bag you got OS?

I've got the areolite WP and find it pretty good.

Alothough it is startting wear noticably quicker than my last bag :(

this is the bag gareth, in all fairness its been the most waterproof bag ive had, but it must be wearing off now as it lets everything through,

will look into some of the suggestions, thanks lads.

I've used Fabsil on my waterproofs and it's always been pretty good as a short-term solution, so can't see why it wouldn't work on a bag. For waterproofs, Nikwax is always a good option, but I've not tried anything other than the wash-in stuff.

Or treat yourself to a Sun Mountain H2n0! ;)

Just bought (arrived yesterday) the new H2NO cart bag...very pretty....as most bags don't work up here....the rain here is usually propelled by a 25mph wind so its quite penetrating even though it only lasts for about 15 minutes.....even got a free 60" umbrella into the bargain. :)

If you don't mind me asking how much was it?

+1 for the H2No.

I went for the carry bag as it also fits quite well on the trolley and has ample pocket space.

It coped admirably at the Woodhall Spa Forum meet this year where it seemed that the local fire brigade were testing their hoses on us, and everything in the bag remained driza bone.
