rattle in driver head

The driver will perform the same but might put you off. Is there a small round plug in the bottom? If so you can remove it and put rattle stop in or if not the shaft needs to be pulled and got to through the hosel, quite an easy job.

its a taylormade r7. i havent got the club yet so i wouldnt know!!

It sounds like it is a little bit of epoxy that has come lose.

You can take the on of the weights out IIRC and stick some of this in. You might need to go to a pro but it is a two minute job.

I had this happen on two taylormade burners. Sent them back both times and Taylormade replaced the driver. Didnt feel it affected the performance but it was very off putting

Can you take the weights out of the R7?
If you can it may allow the "bit" to fall out. It's probably a piece of dried glue or some weld material taht's broken off. Shouldn't affect performance.

I also used to have a Taylor Made R7 Maraca.I left the club minus its headcover,on the backseat of my car, during a very warm summers afternoon. When i tried to pick the club up,it was boiling hot,and after hitting several shots it developed a very very loud rattle.I removed one of the MWT weights, and shone a torch in the port,i could see two pieces of glue rattling around inside.
To cure the fault i heated the sole of the club, and then smacked the driver down very sharply several times,on a carpeted floor, the rattle stopped, and its been almost 3 months since i cured it.Basically most clubheads have some soft glue in the head,in order to catch and hold any loose pieces of weld etc, once the head is heated, the glue becomes tacky.
I'd get a clubfitter to have a look for you,and maybe give you some idea what he'd charge to sort it,failing that,Google "rattling Taylor made R7" and decide whether you fancy fixing it yourself.
Hope this helps.
