Rats

I see a similar problem but its with Exclamation Marks

They too are on the move jumping from thread to thread and excessively multiplying as they go unchecked

As @Traminator alludes to I think its linked to restaurants being closed and folks can't be shocked by how crap the food is for the cost, and they're moving into other areas to feast!

Shhhhhh I'm on a stake out. Watching the back garden like a hawk to see where the blooming thing runs. I've got me trap ready to set where it runs. Shhhh I'm hunting wats

I hate to break it to you, but there won't only be one.

I know. I've seem two. One huge Cheshire Cat sized one and a smaller one. Which is M/F? Seen the smaller one today. Garden is now baited with traps. THank you Home Bargins.
Alsop, I cat has been out stalking something tonight. Never thought I'd be glad to see cats in the garden.

Few years back we found chew marks on the wheelie bin lid, then not long after on hearing a noise when walking past discovered there was a big un inside. We'd popped something on top (wasn't that heavy) and went off to think about what to do. On return it had made it out.
It happened again not long after, this time was a different outcome though.

Rats can chew through concrete if there is something worth getting to.
an elderly neighbour had them . He thought he had mice , opened the fridge door one day to find a big hole in the back where they had chewed right through it and ate everything in the fridge !
