Personally I went for it as I wasnt sure how clearly Id see through the eyepiece wearing my glasses (btw is brilliant... you can clearly see with them on) anyways I find it useful because I can look on the side to double check

for £10 I just went for it. However the LCD screen model has less features is mainly just for golf. the other one you can judge speed of things apparently.. (for watching motor racing etc) so maybe go for the LCD one as its more golf focused

Cool. As a glasses wearer that's interesting. As you say, for the sake of a tenner!!

If you go on eBay I saw the LCD one for £89.99 I paid £99 on Amazon because it would be here the next day. Wanted to use it on a round

I've had the laserworks lcd version for over a year now,
on a budget at the time and took a punt,
never missed a beat, pinged flags at over 300 yds, if there are trees behind i just scan the area until i hit the pin,
certainly recommend one.

The slope function is in degrees so not the foggiest how to convert

looks like mine just in white. Glad you find it so good means mine should be just as good

I bought a cheap chinese thing from hot golf for 69 quid. My mate bought a bushnell at the same time for more than double the price. There is no difference at all in results. I couldnt play without it. Speeds the game up so much.

Remember that if it has anything that indicates Slope that cannot be physically removed, then it is illegal for competition! I believe that the 'degrees elevation' feature would be a feature that would make it illegal!

Walk up a little till you can see the pin then laser your bag and add the two together. Not very often an issue.

Don't play enough to justify having a GPS plus a Rangefinder, I bought the G6 from Garmin around this time last year and love it, it has really helped my game.

Read through the thread and seen a lot of posters actually use the Rangefinder on the Driving Range, which would be beneficial to me as I'm not sure of certain distances, and roughly guestimate them using Yardage signs at the Range.

Would anyone be able to tell me how the work on the Range, can you lazer to the area that your ball landed at and it should give you a yardage, or do you need something more substantial to lock on to, i.e a yardage sign, bunker, flagpole etc?

I do this for playing partners if they are behind me.

Alternatively if I cant see the pin, I'll just take an old fashioned yardage by pacing it out
