Rain please...

Played last night. Man, our course needs some rain. Fairways bone dry, rough burning back. Even though we water the greens, some of them are starting to get a bit too brown for their own good. Everything is well kept and tidy, it just needs rain !!

This is deepest Hertfordshire btw. Taking it as read that every course in Scotland is a bit damp, where is the north/south or east/west divide located at which the optimum course conditions can be found??

I think your wish was met in Spades today. It bucketed down all day in my part of Hertfordshire!

Played in torrential rain for the 2nd 18 holes here in Cooden, ironically I played better in it when it was lashing it down with a solid 19 points on the back 9 . I don't want to see any more rain thanks, think I just played in a year's worth!

We went out at four. It started raining at five past. Only did nine and we have never been so wet. Rain dripping off us and leeching inside the waterproofs. bags and clubs still not dry even with four hours of the dehumidifier going. Oh, and my waterproof bag cover failed miserably as well!

The request has been answered! Midday yesterday it started. Playing this morning, so hoping it will have stopped by then. The course will love it...and probably still be dry!

Was amazed how well the course stood up to the rain we had yesterday. A few bunkers had water in but most were water free and had been raked as it was club champs (it begs the question if they can do it this weekend why not every but that's another issue). No standing water on the fairway and the greens as good as I've seen them and putting great. I played like a muppet and fear that it won't take too much rain tomorrow to make it sodden in places but as for today, big thumbs up to the green staff
