St Annes Old Links this year Val

Good job there wasn't a breath of wind yesterday or the scoring at ours would have been horrific

6 under round West Lancs in any conditions is incredible golf

It sure is, i'd bet it's looking tremendous just now, like most are I suppose

I see Pete Finch's Quest for the Open went South, +4 tied for 38th, that'll be that then.

Anyone know of others who've made it through or not as it were..

To be fair, watching his summary, he was pretty upbeat about it all and I think there was a +1 that got in so hardly a million miles away, especially given some of the scores recorded there. He simply hit a couple of costly approach shots and the putter was stone cold. I would suggest at that sort of level, it simply comes down to whether you make putts at the right time and can scramble well. Had he got through (and sounds like he'll try again) I think the gulf in class for final qualifying would have been far more obvious

See Brooks Koepka's brother is in there along with a few other notables, Mark Warren, Retief Goosen and Thomas Bjorn
