Qualifying Competition played on Wednesday and Friday. Wednesday closed before Friday

We have a Pro's Midweek Comp. usually on a Wednesday and for the first time it has been extended to a Friday with the option to play either day.

2 questions:
1. Is it acceptable to close the competition on Thursday and reopen on Friday once the results have been published?
2. The pin positions have been moved by Friday. Is this acceptable?

For handicapping purposes I would say that they should be played as separate rounds. Apart from the pin positions, the tees would probably have changed and PCC may have kicked in or out.
The Competition result can easily be determined by merging the scores produced by the Playing Handicaps of the two days.

Some of our Ladies competitions are Alternate Day comps. First day Sunday and second day Thursday. Pin positions are different as far as I know and the competition isn't closed until after the Thursday round. Handicaps alter though after first day obviously.

1. Each day is a separate competition and can be closed separately. For results purposes an "alternate day competition" should be setup in your software to aggregate the results from the two comps.
