Plenty of speed, goalscorers and creative. Wonder if they'll be stronmg enough at the back.

Think the usual suspects will be there agan and I think it will come down to the two Manchester clubs. Arsenal rebuilding, Chelsea for third and think AvB will do no better at Spurs than he did at Chelsea. Whatever happens I hope your team, whichever divisionthey play in, has a decent season (unless its QPhahahaha)

Glad to see someones happy - I fear the worst this season. We have dodged a couple of bullets recently needing results at Sheff Wed and Stockport in the last games of the respective seasons. Something tells me (possibly the lack of quality within the squad) that we wont be so lucky this time around.

Like I said NWJ, he picks his best mates not his best team!

Rory Delap is only in the team because he can throw a ball further than he can kick it, a' la' his looooong throw. That's the only reason he gets picked. There are more but would take a while to type.

Hos tactics baffle most supporters. Yesterday 1-0 up he takes off a player who is running their defenders ragged for a defensive midfielder...... At 1-0.

Too negative.

He gets praised for keeping us in the league but, in all honesty, we should be doing better than the last 2 seasons finishes. We are by no means a top 10 side, but I would like to think we could at lease make top 12 most seasons.

Too right. Luton were one of the better teams I saw at Kidderminster last year but Mansfield were thugs as happened yesterday. More than half a dozen tackles that deserved reds cards let alone yellow.

We are creating chances at the moment but defensively the new players are still getting used to each other.

I think arsenal will still be there as the new lads look to be very good signings and what their fans must remember is that RVP only had one quality FULL season. Spurs will be like Newcastle and fighting for the best of the rest honours.

For the title I'm thinking man city will have learned from last year and will actually be even more consistent. Man utd will push them all the way but they need a midfield enforcer with a combination of youth, experience and quality. Oh, and they should keep Young on the bench

Hearing the average Olympic athlete, who was literate, enthusiastic, approachable and humble, then comparing them to the average overpaid arrogant footballer makes me wonder for the future of the game.

A wonderful beautiful game that is being brought to its knees by the people who play it.

My teams first game in the Championship for a while, at least we didn't lose. Our squad is far from where it needs to be just home we can make the playoffs at least and have a tilt at a big day at Wembley.

I did chuckle when I saw the result of QPR, Hughes a former manager of ours who always boasts about off to bigger things firmly planted at the root of the table again..

I think this is less the case than it used to be.

I don't know many people that are massively enthusiastic at the return of football, particularly the Premiership. That said, most of my mates are not typical footie fans either.


Basically, I expect better standards on many aspects of life than footballers or the footballing word offers up. The Premiership in particular is a moral vacuum, ruined by money and what it has done to the players and clubs. I realised this on Saturday night when halfway through MOTD, I thought to myself, why am I watching this? Some mediocre highlights interspersed with utter banality from Shearer, Hansen and Lineker. I switched it off and went to bed to read a book.

Premiership Football? I just don't care any more. It is a vulgar, over-hyped mess of a product that actively contributes to the parlous state of moral standards in the UK. It is the sporting equivalent of Celebrity Big Brother. TV for idiots. No thanks.
