I cannot putt.

6 x 3 putts today. I even noticed that my left arm is chicken winging!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right GM-ers, I need links (or embed) to the best 'how to not putt like a douche' videos on youtube.

Thank yow.

I'm interested, as this happens to me too often for my liking.

It pretty much always is a problem with getting the distance right. I seem to have no 'touch'.

Partly practice and probably something technical. Maybe something to do with a pre shot routine.... Because of the weather, I haven't been able to practice at all, but if I see anything interesting on the tube I'll be out there, now that the weather has decided to get a couple of degress above freezing.

My advice is rather than self diagnose get a 30 minute lesson and get a PGA pro to check your swing and address. I bet he will see the problem in minutes and can really get your stroke working efficiently. Then all you have to do is work on it

I had a putting lesson last year, found it really beneficial, though my problem prior to the lesson was concentrating to much on taking the putter back in a straight line, which meant I was gripping the club too tight, decelerating and putting like a prat!!

I'd recommend a lesson, so long as your pro doesn't try to build a stroke for you, putting a all about the feel and should come naturally to you.

Some say there is no "right" way to putt.
However, if you watch the best putters, they tend to use a similar method.
Lower half VERY STILL
Arms extended, upper arms held into the sides and no wrist hinge.
Moving the lower half is a common error I see.
This clip may help.
Keep both cheeks pressed against the chair and your hips wont turn

I read the lines of the putt excellently. The main issue is pace.

I don't have any kind of 'feel' off the clubface. It's not that I don't commit to the shot, I certainly do.

Feel a little concerned that on the follow through my left elbow seems to separate more and rise up.

Think a lesson is the way to go.
