Went along to a greens meeting last night and felt well sorry for a old bloke at our club as he has been told his trolly he was bought for xmas is banned as its got wheels with a width less than 80mm.

Poor old sod.

Ive seen some 3 wheel carts before with what looks like small bike wheels or pram wheels, only about an inch wide and they ruin the track in the wet. I dont know who designed them but they are no good for the course.

They sound like the Sun Mountain range , a lot of the boys at our club have them and they are supposed to be great. They dont appear to damage any of the fairways at our muni course , so i'm not sure why some courses would ban them.

hedgehogs are designed for 10 x 3 in (270 x 80 mm) push/pull trolley wheels though I have seen one advertised (which I now can't find) for similar sized power trolleys (improved grip because it's screwed into the tyre)

A lot of electric trolleys have narrower treads than they used to too. There seems to be a growing trend back towards narrow wheeled trolleys. Not sure why?
