I'm in the market for a new pair of golf shoes. The last three pairs have been by adidas - I must admit that I've had to go up a shoe size as they come up a little tight in my normal 8's. I've been eying up a new pair and like the look of the pumas (no, not the high tops) and wondered if anyone has had experience with them - if they come up tight etc.

I always had to go up a size with Adidas (used them exclusively until my current pair). I now use Puma - to be honest cannot remember the specific model (but it was new last year). Bought last year based on reviews and the price on offer. Was not expecting much to be honest, but I love them. The most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. The only pair I didn't need to break in. Standing up well to frequent use - better than my Adidas did.

Size wise - same as Adidas for me. One size up from normal footwear - maybe half a size to be accurate (I use thick socks).

Puma size wise as spot on.

I've had 3 pairs now, wear a 10 in casual shoes and trainers, wear a straight regular 10 in puma. Probably the only brand I'd buy mail order without trying a pair on.

What I really like is sizing and fit is consistent across models , there's none of this half a size less in this model but half a size bigger in another

Another one here with a pair of Puma's. I get my normal size and they fit perfectly, no up or down. 2yr waterproof warantee on mine as well. Clubhouse Golf have a heck of a range of Puma shoes, other outlets are available :) I have quite wide feet and they fit well on that front which is an added bonus.

I was surprised after reading the last few posts about sizing. I went and checked my puma shoes and to my surprise they are not up a size. My apologies for my earlier post stating I upped a size. I have not - they are the same as non-golf shoes. I have always, prior to buying Puma, had to go up a size in golf shoes.

Good to read the last few posts also. I have never bought golf shoes online through fear around sizing. I now feel comfortable doing so with Puma - Cheers guys

Can't agree on sizing, I have multiple pairs in adidas, puma and Footjoy and each of them is different in sizing. the adidas are all 9.5 wide, the FJ are 8.5 W and 9.0w, the puma are 9 and 10 ... different type of shoes required different sizes for me (apart from the adidas where I can always choose the same size)

As there isn't a standard way of sizing widths, and forms, all shoes are likely to be different. I guess it just depends on your foot shape as to whether you can physically fit into every shoe in the same sizing.

I certainly found that I couldn't use the same FJ size in all of their shoes (and was fitted by FJ to prove this)
