4 ball team event, best 3 of the 4 scores to count.
Really looking forward to it.
Weather down here is gorgeous, hardly a breeze and sun is shining. Course should be there for the taking.... Lol!!
Teeing off at 2.50, will be a long old round as about 200 people playing in it. Will still be out when the shadows start lengthening which is just how I like links golf.
Have been practicing my bump and run shots.....trouble is, they've been off the tee lately.

:D :D :D :D :D

Wearing my new Ping lime green shirt. Jeez it's lime. You might see me from there
;)

I'll check Google earth later :)

I hope you enjoy those nice short fairways and tight lies....if you hit any fairways that is. :p

looks a lovely links, nice attitude on their website which more clubs should adopt.....

Well had a great day. The weather was superb, the course was in lovely condition bearing in mind the lack of rain we have had down here. Was talking to the Lady Captain just before going out and she said that they had a torrential downpour on Sunday that had helped green everything up again so it was looking good.
As we came off the practice putting green, a group that was just finishing off the 18th were totting their score together and they'd had 108 points! We looked at each other and thought we were going to have our work cut out!
We all played some reasonable golf at times, but also felt we could have done a lot better as we let some simple shots slip by. Quite surprised when we reached the turn and I totalled up our score to find we had 48 points. We were'nt doing quite as badly as we had thought.
Came off the 18th and I added everything up, we had finished with 99 points. Whilst we knew that we weren't going to win anything, we weren't too disappointed with the score and at the end of the day we came tied 13th out of 48 groups, so not too dusty.
We all hit some good shots, we all hit some bad. But it was a lovely day, sun was shining and the course, as I say, was in lovely condition.
Thanks to Leftie, Ray and Brian for steppping in at the last minute to make up the team.

Nice course in good condition, nice weather, good company and good golf.....Well, 3 out of 4 isn't bad. :)
We are talking about Smiffy after all.
Glad you had a good day geezer :)

Littlestone.

Links golf? Open Qualifier?

Playing off the whites shot a net 71. (Par 71, SSS 72.)

2 out of 3 up and down from the sand.

30 putts.

Don't know what all the fuss is about.

Mind you, in those conditions the CSS would probably have been about 69

After this, I'm expecting to be propping up the rest of the lads on Friday at Cooden.
