Professional Golf 2024 & 2025

As stated, each major has their own qualifying criteria, and each likely includes OWGR points. The OWGR process is explained on its site:

Yes I know how the ranking system works

And each of the US majors is heavily bias towards events played on the PGAT hence why playing on the PGAT gives players a better chance of getting onto all the majors

Perhaps that's because the majority of the best players play PGAT events?

As we have seen with the recent big deals with Sky and DP World the ET is in a good place

Players will always chase and play in the biggest and richest events

As players have been moving to the PGAT for decades what is the alternative

Any ideas ?
Well, I guess the DPWT could be subsidized by the Saudis and become a feeder tour for the Asian Tour and the LIV league.
That might make them happy.

The solution is to offer prize money at the same level as the PGAT.

And, if that is not a feasible solution, then obviously the best DP World Tour players will look to go somewhere else to improve their earning potential. What would be your mastermind solution?

Until the European Tour can offer the same money (which will probably never happen), the people in charge could remain in denial and pretend that doesn't play a part, or they could embrace it, acknowledge the European Tour is effectively a feeder tour, but then maximise their opportunities from there.
Well, the Asian, DPWT, and the PGAT are feeder tours for the LIV tour. Everyone seems to be ok with that.

This is true - it's a shame that the PGAT can't take this view with regard to players wanting to join LIV.

All the tours seemingly have to accept they will lose players who want to better themselves financially on the PGAT, but when the chance comes for players to leave the PGAT, they get a 12 month ban...
The PGAT does not prohibit any player from pursuing greener pastures. Unlike the DPWT, they just don't accept them back.

Tom McKibbin won $10m in his first season in LIV. Pressure is off him now, he can swing freely when he plays. Interesting to see him next year, see how he progresses. I'm sure LIV badly want him to do well also, it's a change of tack for them.

10000% the right move.
Could’ve joined PGA tour, form could’ve went out the window, could’ve got injured etc etc.

Sitting with 10 million for a years work and the rest of his career ahead of him.
