Its fun discussing it but naw, I'll not be delving deeper. I think i'd need a much greater understanding of all variables used in setting field rating (prob worse than WHS!) and without that i'm left with this oversimplified line:

If you take out 10 players with a much higher owgr ranking than the 10 players replacing them, pretty good odds the OWGR field rating will go down
 
Lets not forget, the field ratings for the last 3 years across the PGAT and DPWT in particular, have been steadily diminishing in accuracy due to players on LIV not getting OWGR points, while less capable players on those tours have seen there rankings go higher than they would otherwise have done, so to try and compare them year by year isn't going to be too conclusive.
 
Always have the same belief with the rankings

Majors at the top

Then flagship events - players and BMW

Then the National Opens should all get the same rating regardless

And then after that all the others

It shouldn’t be determined on who is playing , it should be a standard regardless

I like that although there's probably 2 (at least) levels/tiers of national Opens

Much as I love having one on my doorstep its tough to argue for Mauritius Open to get ranked the same as say the French or Spanish Opens

Yeah agree with the tiers but I would love to see National Opens being treated better

Increase the ranking points and there is a potential to get the bigger players to play

All the top golfing nations have a national open and the golfers need to support them instead of some “Wyndham” or Sanderson Farm open etc

She’s woeful and spouts absolute rubbish.

Nothing beats Rachel I think I’m actually in love with her 🤣. She’s fun, bubbly, knows what she’s talking about when it comes to technique, has absolute game as well. She’s infectious and it’s hard not to smile when she’s on screen and interacting with people. Yup definitely in love 🤣

At least those 2 played the game at the highest level and know what they’re on about. They might not be everyone cup of tea but nothing is as drab and woe as Henni Zuel she’s worse than McGinley and that’s no mean feat!

And as for Faldo, well it’s only a 5 hour broadcast on LIV and he spends longer than that talking about himself when he’s presenting on the PGAT…

Even Owen has played at a high level - Huel hasn’t , she is just poor on every level, maybe more like Aluko

Hopefully it means we get to hear more from Iona 👏👏👏
