I think the bigger pic has to be looked at too, so add these 10 names to the 20 from the last two seasons and see how many will be playing on the pgat in 2026 (& how many have/are coming back to ET)

As a side point, that’s a strong list. I can see a lot of them doing well there next season.

I’ve never liked it and it just uses DPWT as another feeder tour. But that ship sailed a long time ago sadly so it is what it is.

You do know that it’s been happening for over 40 years now

How many top Europeans played in the competition over the weekend ?

Some will make it , some will be back playing on the ET next season

There is also the next generation coming through

All the top players went a long time ago; but now the tour is eviscerating itself by coercing the second tier to leave.

I'm sure some of the players are relishing the opportunity, be interesting to see how Penge gets on, he's played some good golf this year. But for some of those guys, it will be a very expensive year trying to make a few cuts in the lesser PGAT events.

Also, expect LIV will make approaches to some of them.

For the DPWT, it just diminishes their event rating - and I suspect the people backing the events have concerns about the drain on top talent leaving the tour each year

Interesting how presented.
Smith actually finished 16th.
If DWPT keep counting majors and co-sanctioned PGAT events then may only need to finish 20th soon.
They've accepted their place. Has there been many 2nd tier US players playing near full time? Think that was the hope originaly, but KFT seems to keep them so far. May see more on DPWT when PGAT reduces it's numbers further.

Don’t think either Sky or DP World have concerns with their recently renewed long term contracts with the Tour and many of the events getting renewed sponserships

Top talent has been leaving the tour for years
