Electric golf trolleys - I'm sure someone could right a book on them! The question is - why would you pay £300+ for a trolley that does nothing more than the trolley marked at £150. The answer is - better quality and better after sales service. The problem is that there is no easy way of assessing 'better quality.' They are all made in China and most of them look pretty much the same. After sales service is essential because (in my limited experience) they all fail at some time and need to be repaired/replaced. I bought a Hillman six months ago ( http://www.uksportimports.com/catalog/in...roducts_id=2395 ). It looks almost identical to your Power Pro. It's failed 3 times and after sales service has come to the rescue each time (albeit they could have been quicker). Each failure has been loose or broken wiring which I've been able to fix myself with their guidance and spare parts. I paid £150 (they're selling for less than that). When it has gone wrong I comfort myself with the fact that I only paid £150. I know others who've paid £350 and had similar faults.

GoKart manufacture there trolleys in Kent, their after sales I believe is one of the best, they look unique & cost £200. I am getting one for Christmas.

Problem sorted.

I bought one of these a couple of months back for my wife who was attracted to the appearance, the suggestion that it easily slots together and the after sales support. First let me say that the after sales is superb; next it is pretty in a feminine sort of way (it's pink); finally we're not so sure about easily slots together, it feels clumsy and sort of clumpy.

I would rather pay £200 for a trolley that does as good a job if not better than a £350+ just for the name brand, and to suggest gokart is feminine is quite daft really (maybe in pink it might). Also I would put a UK company manufacturing it before a Chinese one, that’s just me if I can help it I will if it doesn't put me at a disadvantage.

They look good!
I had a HillBilly until it got stolen.
Not bad value at £199.00
I'd go for the green or blue personally (when the missus has gone out and I can bash the platic)

As most of you now know. I have recently bought a GoKart. Yes it's a little noiser than some, but at £150 less than some other makes, it's not a problem. The battery doesn't fall off a little tray like some makes, it folds up damn small (fit's in the boot of an MX5), the clubs go on the front seat. The looks kinda grow on you, but value is what sold it to me, together with the UK based manufactuer. It does perhaps 'creak' a bit more than a metal one, but that doesn't both me. You get a scorcecard built in, and it has rain channels to keep the scorecard as dry as possible, and the optional extras are better value than other brands.

I'm happy with it. Very happy.

Has it got somewhere to put your glasses between shots? A little tray or something?
I wear glasses but cannot abide wearing them when I play, and won't wear contacts.
It's stupid.....without them on I can see a ball sitting on the green 300 yards but can't see to fill in a scorecard or even determine exactly what make of ball is lying on the fairway! I've tried taking them off between shots and lying them on the ground by my bag, but will invariably forget to pick them up again lol!!

I found these "refurbished" GoKarts on e-bay earlier, come with a full 12 month warranty.

At £130.00 delivered (with a 36 hole battery) a bit of a saving.
Worth it?
Rob

I saw these the other week when looking, but I was concerned where the seller got 5 from and with no colour choice either. I think I would rather pay the extra for an 18 holer and take the service they offer rather than a EBay sellers service, but £100 is still a £100 at the end of the day, but you don't know which model this is, it might be the louder battery or the wheel that clogs up.

Well, after trudging through the mud today and cocking up the last 4 holes (blob, 1 point, blob, 1 point) due to knackered knees, I finally bit the bullet and ordered my GoKart last night. Went for a new one from the GoKart site, £199.00 delivered which now includes (if ordered before Christmas) the zipped cover to protect the car boot, which usually costs £22.00.
I didn't think this was a bad deal at all, bearing in mind the price includes delivery.
I ordered it in black & green as I didn't want to appear gay! ;) ;) ;)

hi ive own one for about 2 years now and i must admit i dont play golf but use it as a mobility scooter so i can go fishing and i am over the moon with it, it will brake apart and fit in my astra estate boot with my fishing gear in and there only two things ive found that it struggles with 1 very soft sand ( when i went to the beach) 2 marsh like conditions ( realy boggy grass) over than that it will get me any ware i want to go so longs as its not a very steep slope its total water proof ( from rain or shallow puddles) the only problem i had was i brought a 2nd hand one wich had an electric falt wich turned out to be a dry joint in one of the connections witch i changed to a normal block connector and sealed it with silicone and its been the most dependable scooter ive got and i love it saved me no end compared to a propper off road mobilty scooter BIG THUMPS UP
