Powakaddy - aarrrggghhhhhh

I have to side with the agent on this one I'm afraid. He sent it away in January and has since received it back last week.

The problem is the customer service at powakaddy, i have spoken to several agents and they all say the same thing that powakaddy are just terrible when it comes to warranty work. If it was a problem that the service agent could have repaired we wouldn't be having this conversation, they usually turn things around in a few days

the problem seems to be if something has to go back to the factory.

I posted a question about the level of customer service on another forum and the popular opinion is that POWAKADDY are just terrible at dealing with things.

I won't be having this problem with my next trolley - I'm gonna buy a GOKART (should never have left them in the firt place)

Its really strange that Tanya doesn't know about my problems as its HER i've been dealing with for the last 3 weeks !!!!!

I gave powakaddy a call yesterday, APPARANTLY Tanya tried to call me on friday but got no answer so left a voicemail.
They must be REALLY good at their jobs - I DONT HAVE VOICEMAIL !!!!!!

The upshot is this - Powakaddy are not taking any responsibilty for the time taken to rectify my problem - 13 weeks !! ( which if we can remember back to the beginning of this, was only a faulty battery).

They are blaming the service agent and as a good will gesture are prepared to extend my warranty for three months. but they are not prepared to re-imburse me for the out of pocket expenses i.e. over 200 pounds in rental trollies.

The quality of the customer services is apalling. i work in a garage and if a customer had came in to us with a problem with their battery, can you imagine the look on their face if i said 'sorry mate its gonna take 13 weeks to get a new battery' - REALLY FOR A BATTERY .....

I bought a brand new car and it only took 2 working days to arrive, in fact i bought a new build house and it only took 11 weeks for the whole process to conclude. All i asked POWAKADDY to do is replace a faulty battery and its taken 13 WEEKS.

I dont feel i'm being unreasonable in asking for compensation, I have spoken to several people at powakaddy and they all say that it is the decision of the directors. So although I'm angry and disappointed, I'm not blaming the individual staff (which i have told them also). Obviously they can only implament company policy.

So if the directors of powakaddy are happy with the way that they treat their customers then i really cant say anymore but quite frankly it makes me sick the way that they treat people.

I wont buy another powakaddy product ever again not because the trolley broke down these things happen, no, just because of the way ive been treated. I DONT and would NOT RECOMMEND them to anyone.

Don't shoot the messanger. MikeH clearly trying to do you a favour as I would think are/were Powakaddy if you got off your high horse long enough to engage with them. Mistakes happpen but the sign of a decent company is how they rectify it. Yes I said they had a bad name when my wife worked at a golf club but there again I didn't rate the pro either so issues likely to have been compounded. Speak to them, let them tell you their side of events and form a plan of action you are both happy with

i think this has been taken out of context, I was thanking Mike for letting me know that they had been in touch.

I really hope nobody on here is taking offence at my posting, that is not my intention and I apologise if that is the case.

I may very well be on my high horse :o, but i have said all along that i have spoken to the people at powakaddy, i have heard their side of the story, and i have let them deal with the situation.

"the sign of a good company is how they rectify it" - the problem is they have taken nearly 3 months to swap over a faulty battery. that to me is the sign of a BAD company.

I'm a very very keen golfer and i like to shout from the heavens about companies that supply a good product and a good service but i shout a lot louder about companies that supply a bad service.

I mearly started this post out of desperation and wanted to see if other people were being treated the same way.

again i hope i never offended anybody on here :(
