Had to post something profound for post 1000, so here it goes...

Before I joined I was blissfully smacking a ball around a field, now I am tormented by thoughts of swing plane, release, and of course the dreaded term "course management".

The problem with course- (and indeed Curls-) management is that I am a Zen monk master of calm and effortlessly choose the right shot sitting at my desk or at home with a golf psychology book, and then Sunday I'll have 200 into a protected green off a tricky lie and I'll take the bloody thing on.

But then over the past two years with the help of many folk here I have become much better at the game and strive to become better still, and I know there's a lot of good folk on here who are willing to give their knowledge experience and encouragement on that road. I've bought equipment based on your reviews, learned about technical aspects I didn't know existed, tried to improve my swing based on your comments, and received praise for my good rounds and consolation for the bad. Thanks to all who contribute and especially those who give up their own time to moderate, good sorts.

Not a bad place to be.

Now back to work.

I've learned that people can judge you just because of a golf swing!
...took me 20 minutes to learn that

Congrats on your 1000
