I'm a 21+er - would be brilliant if I'd only been playing 5 yrs but I've been playing an awful lot longer than that :)

First ever was at the GM meet at the Belfry, 11th Hole, hooked a drive which bounced off a greenkeepers tractor to sit in the semi just behind a fairway bunker. 7 iron pitched on the front of the green and rolled up asnd round to drop into the hole, saw it all the way in and the Golf Monthly photographer was with our group at the time - there was a nice photo of me and my brother doing a high 5 in the next issue :)

I've probably had 2 or 3 a year since.

Probably in the 11-20 category. Best was a 170yd hook out of trees with a seven iron for a two on the second at Kettering. Had birdies the first so I stood shaking like a leaf at -3 on the third tee !

I've had about half a dozen. The last one was totally unexpected. Our 16th in a midweek medal. Par 4 363 yds with a pond front right, Bunker left and OB Back, after a poor 49 on the front 9 I was level par on the back hit a reasonably good drive to leave about 130 slightly downhill hit the sweetest wedge and watched the ball roll towards the pin and it appeared to stop next to the pin. Great tap in birdie I thought and started to talk to my playing partners - one asked 'where did you end up?' 'On the green' I said - No ball on the green says he so I didn't see it drop.

Soon brought down to earth with an ugly 8 on the next though

Had a few, but nearly all were when I was a junior and could play the game. Best one though was in a Pro Am at Farnham, when I eagled the 5th with a shot. It was about the only hole that didn't have a prize.:(

Last one was at Blackmoor. Clean (that is being kind) 8 iron on our third hole that some how went in on the full. Would have been on the 17th tee if it hadn't.

I have no idea but loads, so more than 21. Most are putts on driveable Par 4's or Par 5's. Can't remember holeing anything more than about 30 yard chip for one and certainly no holes in one on a 3 :mmm:

I do remember having a 20 foot putt for eagle and walking off with Bogey 4 putts later!!!!

Thus far only one. On the 8th hole at Teign Valley in Devon which is 495 yards long but due to its downhill nature i managed to reach the green with a 5 iron and a 9 iron!

My best (worst really) was a hole in one whilst playing in a Colts match about 25 years ago. Match all square on the back nine and my Oppo hits a lovely shot to about 10 foot. I pulled my tee shot, hit the bank of the left greenside bunker, shot across the green, hit the Pin at about 20mph and disappeared. Oppo was over the moon.

Two - both on par 4s when I was very close off the tee.

The 12th at Appleby in Cumbria with a driver in hand in a friendly round and the 12th at Catterick when I drove just past the pin with a 3W and sank that eagle putt to go level par through 12 whilst playing off a handicap of 18 I think. I'd already won the 4BBB match I was in by making birdie at the previous hole to win 8&7. My partner had never had an easier game of golf. He contributed on hole which we both parred but was a shot hole for him and not for myself.

First time I ever realised they were both on 12th holes!

The only par 5 at my course is more than reachable, especially off the yellows, but I can never seem to make that putt.

My best eagle wasn't really an eagle...it was a 3-off-the-tee 'eagle' :) at the 5th at The Old Course, St Andrews.

I pushed my first into the gorse off the tee.

"Och, I'm afraid that deed (dead)", came the call from the steward.

Reload. Good drive down the left. Long iron or wood to just shy of the green left. Monster putt canned for a par 5, 3 pointer! Set up a nice round of 78. :)

Not had a single one! It's something i've started to chase now as well as I don't class my self as a short hitter so alot of greens, not all and certainly not consistantly, but most are reachable in two!

Closest i recently came was on the 15th at weybrook park having only a shorter iron into the green. Left my selft a 15ft or so for eagle.....left it 3ft short!! Nightmare, determined to get one before long though.
