Playing through... Was I in the wrong?

Funnily enough on topic, played front nine today,(practice), put a couple of balls down like you do,had 3 ball in front, looked like they were playing Army golf, had a chinwag with green keeper, 10 mins or so (no-one behind me),caught em up again, asked if i wanted to go through, said no lads, carry on, i wasn't in a hurry, and told them to enjoy it and stayed off their tail..course was reasonably quiet.

If the OP was new at the club, rather than going down the formal letter of complaint route, I'd have been tempted to have a quiet word with the secretary and say something about how much you've enjoyed your first.... weeks/months but there was an incident today that has troubled you and you just wanted to make him aware. That way, its in the open without any threats and if he decides to pursue it fine. If not, it is still out there if they come back and mouth off or if the situation repeats in the future.
