I have entered the Burton Barrel 4BBB Open which is being played on Sunday 24th June with a booked tee time of 08.10.

There’s quite a few from my club that are playing and I’m told it’s a really good day as they’ve played in it for a few years now.

I’ll be travelling back from Cooden on the Saturday so have just threw my hand in late, hence why I’m playing Billy no mates.

It’s only £28 which includes a 1 course meal.

Who would like to partner me 🤔🏌️

Can't play, but can give u the leaves on the greens.

1 short
2 left, short
3 slightly better right
4 slightly better short left
5 right, short
6 short, right
7 right, short
8 short, left
9 left, short
10 short
11 right
12 short
13 long
14 left, short
15 right
16 short, right
17 right, short
18 right, short

Putting is easy there if u miss in these places as true and quick enough, miss wrong side and good touch is needed

I've heard it's a great course, so I would usually be interested. Problem is that I'm hoping to play in the June Medal at Burnham & Berrow on Saturday 23rd, and Burton on the next day would just be too much driving.

If I don't get a tee time when the Burnham medal sign up opens at 6pm this Sunday, I'll partner you at Burton on the 24th.

If you get a better or confirmed offer before Sunday though, please go ahead and accept it.

Very useful but have you seen the way Robin sprays it about?

;)

Sorry Fish, I managed to get a slot in the June medal at Burnham and Berrow on Saturday 23rd, so I won’t be able to make the drive north to join you the next day.

Really pleased with my round at Burton upon Trent Golf Club earlier today in their Burton Barrel 4BBB Medal.

My partner and I finished with 66 (5 Under) which as we left the clubhouse was sitting in 2nd place on count back, but there’s plenty of teams still out on the course!

It’s a very quirky course, quite tight in some areas with very fast, sloping & undulating greens, which I coped with very well.

Some blind drives & shots into sloping greens, so course knowledge is very beneficial.

Ran out of fairway on a couple of doglegs simply not knowing the layout, but I scrambled well when I needed to and when I found myself out of position, especially on the index 1 which resulted in a great par 😜

I shot level par nett 71 which I was very pleased with, even though I still missed at least 3 more short par putts.

Great company, finishing with the same ball on a tight course not played before with a decent score was well worth the trip, especially winning the sweep between 10 of the other Coventry Golf Club boys 👍😎

Compared to how I played at Cooden Beach was chalk & cheese, no doubt going out the night before on the beer is my down fall at Bexhill 😜🍺😂
