I have just started to wear glasses as long sighted, have practiced a couple of times wearing them, and want to persevere as sure it will help, I have vari focals but have found my glasses do have a habit of slipping they are fine for normal wear, wondered if anyone could recommend some sports style glasses which hopefully would not slip.

I thought I'd have the issue of slipping or even falling off playing a shot, but they've been fine - not that I wear them as often as I should!

I just bought a pair of really light titanium frames, with no rim at the bottom.

I wear glasses and the only time mine have slipped was in extreme wet weather on the hole i don't have a problem. i suggest wearing a hat.

I wear glasses and play okay in them unless it is windy and raining.
Rain coming straight down you can just about get away with it.
Mix rain in with a bit of wind and you might as well not bother.
Got to be the most infuriating thing ever.

I normally wear varifocals, but they are not ideal for playing golf in. I am also long sighted and normally wear plain distance glasses or contact lenses for golf. Outside in daylight I can still just about read scorecards etc.

Same for me. Dense drizzle and wind is the absolute worst combination of all.

I wear varifocals too, and the worst thing about standard ones is that the dividing line between the lenses distorts things, especially when putting.
I have just had a new pair made up, especially for golf, where they fitted slightly deeper lenses and moved the dividing line slightly more upwards than usual, so they offer pretty good un-distorted vision on the greens.
They are still a nuisance in the rain and wind though.
Imagine a steamed up, frosted glass bathroom window and you'll get my drift.

Another glasses wearer here.

My solution was to get some 1-day contacts from the optician for use when it is raining as there is no good solution, only less bad ones. You can normally get a trial of 5 or 6 sets FoC to see if they will work for you (assuming your perscription alllows) and even after that, 30 pairs cost me about £40 which is more than a year's supply for my needs so not a big deal.

Back the the original Q, if they are slipping then ask your optician to check the fit as they shouldn't. If that no good then oakly make various rubber sleeves for the fit of their glasses that are available as a spare part and will give the arms extra grip and still look good.

Re rain etc, the motorcycle industry has various bottles of snake oil that are designed to repel water and fogging etc, perhaps worth a try but I'd recommend giving contacts a go first.

I.ve got contacts, can't play in them as the vision isn't as sharpe as my glasses, but they are verifocals and I can't play in them either as the distortion is distracting when swinging. So I got a pair of single vision glasses that I play in. I don't have any issues with the rain really as my hat does its job.

This.

Took me a while to get used to putting them in and out to start with right enough.

Been thinking about getting eyes lasered at some point, need to look into it.......

Yeah I'm tempted also but im not sure if I can be bothered

I tried my contacts and couldn't get used to them so went back to 'mi bins'. Can handle the rain, it's when its roasting hot that they bother me more, gets really annoying with the sweat.
