Playing in Autumn/Winter?

I am not a big fan of winter golf especially on temp greens and if I am having lessons or working on my game would rather hit the range and work on drills than play in farcical conditions with buckets for holes

I play as much golf in the winter as the summer, typically 2-3 times a week. Because the greens are massive they never have temporary greens in the winter they just use the front half of the greens through winter protecting the back half for the summer. Putting whilst slower is still a good test even in winter. The only time they close the course is when it snows which makes sense.

Have played some of my best golf in the back end of the year and really love it. Get 12 months golf now which I feel helps me keep some sort of swing/short game going for the start of the following season.

Another advantage of playing on a true links course.

Just a quick update.
Ended up joining Chester-le-Street, a touch more expensive than Ravensworth but glad I did as it's a lovely course, really enjoyed playing it tonight.
My first ever golf club membership, kinda shocked I've done it
