As above, has anyone played it, any thoughts? I am playing in the Europro event there next week. Also does anyone live close to the course who would be willing to put me up for a few days on a fee paying basis, no food required, just a bed and use of a shower. I am very clean and quiet. Congrats at winning the Andrew Murray pro am at Lymm the other week as well, 66 is top shooting ! I've been a member there a while and dont think i've seen it in better condition !

From what I remember its a monster of a course. Very long and lakes everywhere , a stiff test off the backs. I lived down that way when it first opened.

I played there a couple of months ago, i'm a high handicapper and found it pretty tough, but i played with a couple of guys who play off 14/15 and i don' think they struggled that much, from memory i don't think the course is too long or hilly.

If you get the chance they have a 9 hole water course you can practice on, apparently thats good fun, and handy as there are a few holes over water on the proper course.

Hi,

I have played there but only once about 3 years ago. It is owned by the same group as a course down the road called the Kendleshire (which I prefer). They are quite similar and are relatively immature, open, American style courses with water and I recall some especially big greens.

It was well maintained when I played and relatively easy off the tees I played from. However, I just checked online and the course is very long from the championship tees - over 7600 yards!

Good luck with your game there anyway. I reckon driving well will be the key to a good round.
