Just getting everything ready for my first comp of the year - nice little medal to ease back in

For various reasons it'll just be my 3rd full round of 2014, so not going in with huge expectations, but will be good to get swinging in anger again (in a good way!)...

5 club competition tomorrow - I just hate it and can't work out why I bother with it every year!

Wifey day today, which probably means wandering around and finding a coffee shop

Sunday is captains drive-in (not so sure on the weather front, but one captain had his drive in cancelled as we had snow on the ground, so it's not that bad)

.... I'm calling it a long weekend as Monday I will be off to see if I can be the new Rickie Fowler

Played aggregate stableford this morning, all but one pair found it pretty tough out there, 70 came 2nd but the winners managed 78 (both scoring 39 pts individually). We managed 67 of which I had 36 having shot 79 though feel thats the worst I couldve shot. Made 2 silly doubles and had 7 putts hit the hole that didnt drop, just one of them days I guess

Just played 18 with beezerk he shot 86 I shot 72 both was happy with scoring
Tomorrow it's the little'ins birthday go see her in morning and take her out for few hours
Then weather permitting up golf practice field

Had a medal this morning but was on the night shift last night so wasn't expecting anything too exciting. Got off to a poor start dropping 4 shots on the first 3 holes but then steadied the ship. Managed to finish on 77 blows for a net 66.

Conditions were poor aswell as the whole course was soaking. Putting was a lottery for the whole round due to surface water. Left a lot out so there is deff room to go lower.

Was good to get out there and should get a little cut to get me back to 10.

Played Ladbrook Park near Redditch on Friday, potentially a very nice course but it was so muddy and waterlogged that it was hard to make a proper judgement.
I know we had a bit of rain on Thursday night but I was shocked by how saturated the course was.

And they had the nerve to charge full summer price, on that basis alone I'll not be returning
