Well, the season is more or less finished now, save for the odd few comps to see us out. :(

What is everyone's plans for the closed season in the shivering cold, wet depths of winter? Winter league perhaps? Get some time in down the range grooving a new swing? Perfecting your short game?

Myself, I'll be trying to still get on the course on a weekend (weather and course availability allowing). Midweek rounds are more or less a no no due to working and autumn/winter darkness. Probably keep the swing warmed up with range visits. Could do with sharpening up the putting skills though. Don't quite like idea of not using proper putting greens though.

I'm going to have some time off, looking to let my tennis elbow and shoulder probs sort themselves out, then going to look at getting my swing tighter and toughen up my short game hopefully!! thanks for asking!!

:)

Lots of enjoyable, fun golf with the odd side wager here and there. No worries about wrestling with my handicap (up or down) just rounds with mates where I can go for totally insane shots and not worry about wrecking my card. I am not going to disect my swing or spend hours on the range or analyse my game to death I am just planning on getting out whenever I can and enjoying myself.

Oh, and I am looking at changing clubs so I am going to try a few local courses and see if I can find a new home.

Short game and putting and unless it is very frosty/icey again will play prob wed and sun and the odd sat through the winter, my course is links so stays open through pretty much everything.

Will play as often as weather permitts at weekends but going to take a couple of lessons with our pro to try to sort out a couple of issues that I feel are stopping me from getting another couple of shots off the handicap.

So probably a few range visits per month and the odd game on a saturday when the weather allows, and loads of putting practice in the upstairs hall.

Weekend swindles and range work apart from the monthly medal and stableford. I've a couple of things I want to work on and need to look at (mainly the coming up in the swing). I'll try and get out in one form or another as much as the weather allows

Play in our winter stableford and our own squads eclectic, definately back to the gym more and out on my bike to keep ticking over .Our course generally plays great in the winter with no temp greens or winter tees have way down the fairways.

Firstly, find a new club to join.

Secondly I am going to get a series of lessons over the winter months.
