Places to eat near Victoria or Marylebone station

I started my RAF entrance process there as well. I never made it past the last test though.
Went to Chatham Tech, which used to supply most Dockyard apprentices. I would have been in the last years intake if I had accepted it.
Back then, the Medway Towns were one of the most violent places to live but it’s miles better now.
My uncle’s both went to Chatham Tech before joining the RAF one as a pilot and the other and engineer. I went to Chatham South school it was so rough they closed it down and merged it with Fort Luton and I grew up on White Road Estate so I know the violence part well 🤣
The award winning Shozna you mean.
The best Indian Ive eaten at
FiL lives just up the road from it off Maidstone road by the Spar so we pop to Shozna often the food is just class.
Or as John Bishop said at his evening performance in the Central Hall after his look around Chatham after his afternoon show..he didn't realise tracksuits could be got in large a size.
Also with the word Juicy printed on the arse and in pink velour 🤣

Never been there, will stick it on the list.
You won’t be disappointed it’s amazing food.
Gravesend?? Name says it all really:whistle:
Actually couldn’t be more wrong it’s a common misconception and old wives tale that is was named for the burial of plague victims during the 1665 Black Death. Which is incorrect, as the name Gravesham is recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086, a full 500 years earlier.

The actual meaning, means end of Grove so in theory it’s actually quite nicely named it’s just a shame it’s a bit of a hovel 🤣

But at least it’s where Pocahontas is buried I kid you not !

If you want something casual, Market Halls opposite Vic station has a range of independent street food style vendors over a few floors - plus bars etc.

Excellent shout the market hall, can recommend both Gopals corner for a fantastic roti, or Black bear Burgers. 😋

It is informal but it has a good vibe and a cool roof terrace.

Update
Chatham looked like lots of old towns that are a bit run down and could do with a lick of paint.
Got a cab direct to the dockyard, so didn’t see much of it, to be fair.

The dockyard was really good, the rope building is massive and no way I could live on a submarine.

The copper rivet distillery was also good,

Ended up in a good restaurant in china town and had one of the nicest Chinese meals I have had in a long time.

Thanks to everyone for your comments / tips 👍🥃
