Had a chance to look at the new 'i'series yesterday and wow what a club . Apparently due for release on july 30th .
This must be early for ping as the i25 isnt too old. The rep said the i25 flopped as most golfers just baught i20's and saved some cash.

I think alot of ping users will like this club as it looks more s55 style and not just a old model with a different badge. The rep did tell me that ping will be offering this club with a modus 110,120 or 130 at no up charge. I find that very hard to believe though.

Think you'll find the I25's have been out at least 18-24 months which is a normal length of product cycle for Ping. Will be interesting to see them in the flesh. What is a modus 110, 120 or 130?

Nippon modus shafts. I know they're not cheap so I'll be shocked if they come as a stock option.

I may be wrong but im sure the i25 irons had a release date of February 2014. Thats why i was suprised to see this new iron

I to was thinking the i25 had been around from at least 2013. A nice iron. Be interesting to see what the new range is like!

Maybe they changed these due to poor sales as you pointed out people just got themselves i20s and save the cash

I think the i25 is just too similar to the i20.
I suspect performance differences were minimal in the real world and the appearance is very similar.
The i20 was a definite step from the i15 but the step to the i25 wasn't enough.
If it is down to poor sales I wouldn't be surprised.

The i-e1 does look like a new iron. Not a i20 remake. Imagine a g30 and s55 having a baby together and that what this iron looks like

I have i25 irons and they are fantastic, they do look like they are only slightly different in looks to the i20. I see it as a good thing that they only need to make slight enhancements.

Look at Titleist irons, their whole range has not changed at all for many years.
