Ping Drivers, Year on Year

I tried out G20, Callaway Razr Fit and Anser Driver. Personally found the G20 the best, couldn't stand the Anser. Like others have said try out a few others, add to that Titleist, Nike and Taylormade.

Homer, I personally enjoy reading your posts, so put those shoulders back and keep them firm ;)

I am in the same boat as the OP. Want a new big stick but marriage tightening the budget.

I have tried the Ping G20 and G10 but neither suited me as they were the wrong setup both low loft and stiff. One thing I have learned though is don't get to tied up in the brand and also never be scared to go above 10.5*. Best thing I did was a 12* Cobra HS9 driver I got of Gibbo. It still isn't 100% right for my game swing. Even buying second hand you should try and get chance to hit them first.

My brother (who owns the G20) got fitted and it increased his ability with the big stick massively. Really improved his consistency. He tried TM, Cobra, Callaway and Nike but the G20 fitted his swing better than the rest. Unfortunately there's the rub. It fitted his swing not necessarily anyone else.

I've only tried the G15, which I currently play and love dearly. I didn't bother with the G20 because it came out very soon after I bought the current one and couldn't justify a change so quickly. I am interested in the G25 based on the ability to set it around 11 degrees, which is what recent tests have suggested I should be playing. Was having a chat with one of our pro's about it on Saturday, but the guesstimated price is way too scary, he thinks it will be circa £240, which is not going to be good for the OP. I'm sure the G15 can be had for a good price now though.
