Picking up someone else’s ball

At a recent comp, a player in one group hit a 3 wood from the f/w, he flushed it 260 and it rolled onto the green with the group in front still on green. One of those on the green picked it up and threw it into the bunker! Any ruling on this?

Replace using your best estimation to where it you think it was, no penalty.
