PGA Lessons in the North East

More than welcome mate, it will be completely relaxed and hopefully on a date that suits all.:D

Cheers, I will keep an eye out either on this thread or the arrange-a-game section for dates and let you know if I (or both of us) will be able to make it

I have got a couple days off at the end of the month 28th and 29th so that might have to be my range time :D

I know it has been a while since I posted this, but thought an update may be good.

I decided to go with Kevin Jackson at Ramside, and bought a set of 6x1 hours lessons.

And so much has changed in my game, I was very inconsistent with my game, all over the place, rarely straight.

First two lessons were focusing on my swing, and straight away a huge difference, my 7 iron flying straight pretty much on every shot.

The rest of the lessons we focused on the other clubs, driving, short game, bunkers and putting.

I don't hit far, maybe 140 with my 7, but I have now figured that distance isn't the biggest part of this game, consistency and hitting straight and control is by far.

I can't recommend Kevin enough, very clear in what he is teaching and a really nice guy as well.

I am going to have an on course lesson at some point at the back end of the summer to work on, on course management.

Lastly, are there any threads on here for North East guys who want to play? I don't really have any mates in the North East who play so only get out on my own which isn't the best fun.

Cheers guys!!

I was down at Ramside last week, playing the Prince Bishops course. Smashing set up down there. If you look in the Arrange a Game section there are occasional meets in the NE. We are probably one of the sparsest regions on the forum but we are very friendly. Which course do you play at?

I played Cathedral last week, lovely course, very long and open, which I believe is the opposite of Bishops.

I only moved to Sunderland at the back end of last year, so haven't joined anywhere yet, and to be honest not really started playing that regularly since moving from Manchester

I'm going to play a few courses in the area and then decide if to join anywhere, I used to have a membership for open fairways, which in the NW had plenty of courses, but not in the NE

If you fancy a round at Seaham GC gis a shout and I'll take you round.
