Personal best......25 handicapper

Only my 2nd game back on the full course............and broke my personal best by 1 shot hitting 92(20 over)...over the moon.

My putting was exceptional (for my standards ) only two 3 putts and hit four 1 putts..........only 1 par but 2 birdies....needed a par at the par 3 18th to equal my best...............drove onto 2 tiered green then sank 20 foot putt for birdie to break my record.

Downside was.....I took 4 shots to get out of 2 of the 6 bunkers I got into........

Also it was done on my SECOND game of the day as completed 36 holes.

Yeah at times its hard for higher handicappers to play well game after game......thats why we are high hcappers!...lol

But ive put in a lot of hard work over the winter inc on the practice field/driving range/par 3 games to try and help myself......and out of last 15 games or so ive only been over the 100 mark once....

playing Hexham on friday supposed to be a top notch course.....still on the winter deal of £17 inc main meal..looking forward to that


Moogie....aye the par 3 18th at ours am usually happy to get a 4 on....a par is excellent.......and a birdie....well what can i say.......was just trying to get the ball as close to the pin as possible...i was on the higher tier with about 7 foot spare to the pin on the lower level so really hard shot.....i prob hit it a little too hard but it went straight as a die...into the hole...............reminded me of my 1st ever birdie at golf.....the 18th at Ryton 2 years ago

Well done matey. If it hrlps I'm off a lot lower and I can't get out of bunkers recently either and so have got a lesson sorted for Monday. Not sure what the problem is but its either left in or cleared the green by 100 yards and no happy medium

Very well plyed mate. Looks like you will soon shoot a lot lower. As you left a lot of shots out there. So great play, sort the bits out. That H/c will tumble down. Bet 18 will be easy this year.
