Pearl Lake balls - Which is best?

I know some may disagree

but

I think lake balls are great and they account for about 90% of all my ball purchases.

Generally i buy Srixon Z-URS for about £12 quid per dozen and i really like the feel and performance, however i do notices that they are mostly beige (ish) when they arrive.

Similarly when buying Pro V's they are never the brightest of whites, even if i buy "pearl" condition balls.

I am guessing that the tackier coating of these premium balls does not age well aesthetically when submerged. I have never, ever noticed a reduction in performance though.

My question is, what ball would you recommend as a lake ball? Have you bought any recently and were really impressed with the condition of the ball?

Just checked and they are not selling any decent Srixon balls currently though. Plenty of others available though

Possibly true but having bought from a number of sellers, it would seem the better the ball, the more beige it arrives

Gumtree is the place to look.
Bought a batch of used prov1 and prov1x for 50p per ball.
Not a bad price going by local rates
