Off to Orlando a week on Saturday, looking to pick up some bargains on clothing and footwear.

Anyone got recommendations on the best stores to visit?

Had a quick look online at Edwin Watts and Golfsmith, neither of which seem cheap, in fact i can pick up some stuff cheaper in the UK!

We are staying in Kissimee but have car and will drive!

Thanks in advance!

F.

Can't remember them but last year it seemed to me that prices were little different to the UK. Unlike previous years I brought nothing golf related home even though I had lots of space in the golf bag, not even balls.

There's a couple of stores on I-Drive, one near the massive McDonalds (same side of the road, tucked on a retail area) and another further down towards the new shopping centre. The prices generally are similar to the UK, the real savings are on the special offers and last years models.

You'll get some great Under Armour gear cheap over there - stock up!

Yeah, starting to think that the low web prices we can get here now has killed off all the savings we used to see.

It is just easier to justify to HID buying "bargains" on holiday :-)

There are bargains to be picked up but usually on things like end of lines and previous year's models. I've been to Myrtle Beach the last 3 years in October, a good time to pick up bargains as they start clearing old stock for the new gear coming in.

Last year I got Penta balls on a BOGOF offer, paid on my credit card, when the bill came in they worked out at £18 a dozen. Came back with 6 dozen :whoo:

I was there last year and didn't find the prices much different to the UK. However, as Jaymo says, if you like UnderArmour, like me, you'll be spoilt for choice

Some bargains can be had on the sale rails, Under Armour have a shop at 2 outlets, Edwin Watts and Golf Galaxy will have some cracking deals on older gear but expect to pay full whack for anything current, an average Puma polo will set you back around $90.

I head to Florida 3 weeks today and normally only pick up 2 or 3 polo shirts and a pair of shoes, the shoes are a bit cheaper maybe a £10 max on a pair at £100 over here.

Yu won't make big savings unless we see $2 to the £ again

I'm off to the States on Saturday - I'll check out what the current prices are and post some prices so you can judge for yourself - sometimes things appear to be a bargain and then you have to add their sales tax to the ticket price.

I was there end of last year and as previously stated the best bargains were the end of season stuff. I too picked up some TM Penta's for a great price.

Ah yes the sales tax, 8% in Florida I seem to remember. It's added on at the till, not included in the ticket price. I remember now that Srixon ad333's were more expensive in Walmart than my local golf store.
