I played 9 holes with a DX2 last night and was really impressed. It felt really soft and light in my hand and I thought that this wouldnt go very far! How wrong I was, long, straight, plenty of spin and a great feel from the putter face.

I'm thinking of popping into AG today to get a couple of dozen for £27. One question though I've read that they are meant for the slower swingers? My swing speed is 103mph with the driver and 89mph with my irons. Should this matter?

Any other DX2 fans out there?

I've just started using them and I've got to be honest....I think they are a great ball. I bought 3 dozen for just under £30.00 from here....

I find them decent off the tee but more importantly they have a lovely feel around the greens for chipping and putting.
Going to be my "ball of choice" from here on in.

Never had my swing speed measured with a driver only my irons at Mizuno...you wouldn't want to know

A very nice ball to use, good feel around the green and good off the tee as well.

In saying that I have now gone over to the TX4, cost's a bit more but the best I have ever used around the green.

But for a good around ball the Dx2 is a winner.

I won a doz from Golfbidder in a competition. Not being the ungrateful type I took them out for a bash and I was very pleasantly surprised, they are as the other guy's said a very good ball, great distance, good spin, and great on and around the green. I like 'em and they are a really good price. :D

I've been using them for the last few weeks and find them really good. They are a great buy just now at Best4Balls, as per Smiffy's link.

I can't believe no-one has pointed out, for balls, "I am Mr. Wilson Staff".
They are fine for slower swing players. I am 90-95 mph with my driver and these balls work extremely well.
I have some Dx2, Px3 and Tx4s......mostly running out of all though.
Went to AG last week for a replacement box and got sold some Callaway Diablo balls instead. Having just custom fitted me for a Wilson Staff rescue (fybrid) he thought the Callaway ball would suit my game. He's not wrong.....splendid ball.

Dx2 are great. Good balance of distance and feel and price and whatever you can think of.
Not as long as Nike Vapor (another fav' of mine) and possibly a weenie bit shorter than Callaway Diablo.

For £14.99 or £27/for 2 dozen, you can't go wrong.
Prefer them hands down to Srixon 333......but they don't half look funny.....creamy colour and odd dimples......

I have been using WIlson balls for the last year or so. Love the DX2 and think it is a great all round ball at a good price. Probably slightly prefer the PX3 and that is my regular ball but having picked up some DX2s again recently they are back in favour

As a confirmed 333 man you have my attention Dave in what way is it a better ball?,more spin, longer?

I find they feel much softer than the 333 off the face of any club, they don't last too long though before they lose their colour and scuff up.

OK. Long game....no discernible difference.
Short game....I find them a little more responsive. Don't get me wrong, I'm no wizard, but find if I chip and pitch "positively" with Dx2 balls, they do check up better than most 2 piece balls.
Putting....quite soft of the face (AGSI Taylor Made) and really consistent for distance. I've found few balls that I trust entirely for putting. Z-stars are spot on and Pro Vs are good, but I have to remember to give them a tad more.
Vapors (Nike) are way too "hot" for me and I just like the Dx2.

PS....did you have the MD hybrid....I never asked TonyN?

I've tried a few (won a sleeve in a raffle last year) and I didn't like the dimple pattern when I looked down and found it very off putting. Performance wise I found it was a bit short even compared to NXT and AD333 and to me it felt dead of the wedges and not very responsive. It wasn't a great feeling of the itsy bitsy putter either.

I think they are an OK ball especially at the price and with the deals on them but not one for me. I'll stick to my NXT and AD333 for winter golf

Yeah got the hybrid Dave sorry should have pmed you :o

Couldn't make it work for me I'm afraid so a mate got a nice gift.

I'll try them in the next few weeks and see how I get on.

DX2's are a great ball alright i played them alot last year but i seemed to cause alot of spin with them off the tee with a driver.....distance was ok and as other posts have indicated the feel around the greens for me cant even be matched with premium balls...... but iv recently changed to titleist NXT Tours im straighter and longer off the tee with them and iv still got bags of feel around the greens.... The seal of the deal for me though was the price here in Ireland Dx2's are 25€ a dozen and the titleist's can be bought for the same price....so iv stuck with the titleists...

Dx2 soft feels good off the driver and irons. Its only when you get the putter in hand that you feel like you are hitting a sponge. Far too soft and unpredictable off the putter face and it is not a ball that I will be using again in a hurry.
