Can only post what im told bud.

And would highlight again the part "TRUE" links, many class links courses are no where near railways but many what are termed as "TRUE" links are.

Where's Jezz, he'll know for certain.

Is 'true links' a term you have just made up ? Just do a search on links golf and you will find out what the definition is. Links golf is defined by the type of land the course is situated on. Sure some links courses are by a railway line, but a lot of the courses were there before the railway, and not surprisingly most costal towns have a railway line.

It's not a term I've made up it's a term that gets used.

It's been done to death on this forum and well off topic of the thread, have a look here if you want to debate.

Forget who it was, maybe Grady, but liked the commentary about Bradley looking like he'd forgotten to take the coathanger out of his jumper before he put in on....

No debate, you quoted a links course is defined as having a railway line between the course and the sea. This is not correct, look at the thread you quote and you will read what defines a links course.

I know that and said i was certain I read it somewhere so dug this thread up and thats where it was, turns out it got shot down in flames there.

End of.

Haha, data usage was pretty high in my office yesterday too!!

I looked up yesterday to see 3 people watching the golf and I can only see those with there back to me, lucky one of them was my line manager so all good.... He is "working" from home today as are the other two that I mentioned.... Hmmm I am a fool!

Ha ha!
Tiger yelling "Bite! Bite!" at least 6 times as his ball ran through the green.
Half expecting him to yell "Fenton! Jesus Christ FENTON!"

Judging by how few players are more than one or two under par in near perfect conditions, if the wind gets up on Sunday it could be carnage.
