Open 2021

Anyone used the park and ride today or yesterday? Seen a few on twitter saying the transfer is taking an hour
No issues for me. Took about 30 mins in this morning (7 ish) and the same to get back out.

Its a single road in and out, so sheer volume of traffic was never going to be kind. Not great, definitely not awful.

Great day out
Well run , especially trains in and out

Impressed they had power banks for phones available for free (£20 deposit return at end) so loads of photos then charge

MasterCard 10% off food and drink

Plenty of good spots to view players and follow them

The silver bottles £5.50 to use for free water are at the bar as u come in or any bar

"Players" bottles in the shop £35 aha no ta got 6 bottles for my mates

What's the food pricing like?

Working from home means that The Open will be on one of my monitors non stop for the next couple of days - so that's a major plus.

On the down side - I realised today that I'm going to spend all of Sunday travelling and sitting photographing a football match so I'll see none of the final round - I love my football but missing the last round is a major downer.
Major plus for me as the football has been called off due to ongoing virus breakout at Ross County - so we've been awarded 3-0 win, I don't have to travel up North - and I'll get to watch the finish of the Open

Just home. Park and ride worked well, very efficient. Queue to get in this morning but straight home at end of day. Very impressed. (Questionnaire was on my ticket app first thing this morning.)

Walked the first few holes to six then sat and watched the groups come though (great call to sit and watch there). Then walked the course watching groups as we found them. Sat at 15th green for a bit (players were finding this hole hard, saw some good scrambling), then on 18 in the grandstand, then walked back and followed some other groups in.

Whole thing was very slick, Marshalls and security were superb. Fans friendly and considerate. Would go again in a heartbeat.

One tip - take your own lunch. Prices high, queues long. Also, wear sunscreen.

Make sure you wear your golf shoes!

Go as early as you can stand. It’ll make things much easier. Hope you have as great a day as I did.

Defo! Anyone who thinks that golf shoes aren't correct then I advise think again (unless you having a walking shoe)

My feet don't feel too bad

The 12th is a great little hole to watch

Saw plenty of action today

Almost got hit by JT ball on 1 and saw his eagle on 4

Very much fun

Bring some sweets to keep your energy levels up

I was joking about golf shoes. I wore walking boots but trainers would be fine.

Glad you had a good day!
