Only 3 days into 2014 and course is closed

Surely got to expect courses closed this time of yr. can't really complain at the weather we've had so far this winter.

Just been out and about on a lesson and I can confidently predict no golf for at least a week, maybe more.

Loads of standing water on the fields, rivers and ditches higher than I've seen them in a long time and no end to the rain in sight.
Could be late January before I play my first game of the year...?

Tipping it down on the south coast and has been for hours. My pond has never been so full. If it stops raining now still not going tomorrow because the course will be like a swamp.

just looked at the Met Office forecast over the next 5 days and pretty much solid rain through the next 4 days!!!! Courses could be closed for the next week

If it helps your decision, I just went for a run and as wet and miserable as that was, I was glad I wasn't playing golf.

Just back in from 18 holes. Course was surprisingly fairly dry underfoot, hardly any puddles and only a couple of soft spits. Weather was particularly kind, one light shower. Good day for Gowf. :whoo:

I think its because i cant play is why i want to play some much.
